State Fair 9/2011
Eric & Adalyn’s favorite part of the State Fair...the giant pumpkins…until this year, when they discovered they were big enough for all the kid rides.

Allergy Appointment
I took Eric in for his yearly allergy appointment and got some good news and some bad news.
The good news is that Eric has grown out of his egg allergy and can eat them now. He likes egg salad sandwiches and when I give him eggs he gets excited and says “The Doctor said I can have eggs now”
The bad news is that not only is he still severely allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, seeds and soy; he is also very allergic to dogs. Eric likes dogs, so he gets sad sometimes when he can’t pet them. When I remind him that he can’t pet a dog, he says “but I can still like them and look at them right?” I hope he grows out of this allergy.

1st Day of Preschool
9/6 ~ My babies started preschool this year. They enjoy it so much and are making lots of new friends. Adalyn’s locker is # 1 (Red Heart). Eric’s locker is # 8 (Blue Square). They get to go twice a week.
Feeding the Ducks
We have a special place we go to feed the ducks. It’s funny to see Eric & Adalyn as all the ducks start following them. They really enjoy this and we do it often throughout the summer.
Zoo
8/6 ~ My company summer party was at the Zoo again this year. The kids got to see the new baby elephant and get their faces painted. So much fun!!
Lake Powell 2011
Another wonderful trip to Lake Powell, a trip that I look forward too every year.
Every time we pass the big lake on our drive into town, Eric & Adalyn ask me if that is Lake Powell and if Grandma and Pa’s big boat is out there. Sadly I remind them that our lake, although sometimes it looks pretty, it really is salty, stinky and not Lake Powell.
